I finally found this on youtube
So there I was on Saturday, procurating as you do ... when the internet stopped working
Couldn't log on at all, managed a few minutes on Tuesday, but otherwise I got a PPP error or a webpage from the telephone company saying they couldn't connect to the ISP ... sux
Was the same at school but the library computers all worked but all the positions were booked for hours in advance :(
Found out what the problem was - man with drill had managed to hit a cable 30 metres !!! undergound - it affected just London at first, then ISPs based in London ... then their customers nationwide. News thingie
Everything is working right now but who knows how long its going to last *eek*
Today the procurators processed the 10,000th submission to the database - awesome

First off, the title of the 2nd one... "Woman gets mulled by a Polar Bear?"
I think he was doing more than mulling her over...
People are stupid. I took pictures of grizzlies in the wild in Alaska... bars or no bars, I'm not stupid enough to get that close.
You want a good shot? Get a good camera with a big zoom lens. Unbarred, a bear can sprint to about 35mph... faster than a racehorse. There is a reason why they're at the top of their food chain in the ecosystems they live in.
And they're curious and like to play. Even if the bear wasn't hungry he might grab someone close just to play.
The zoo-keepers took away their new toys...

Eh it would have put the bears out of danger if they just shot her.
In America they most likely would have killed the bears too. Completely horrible how our policy is to destroy the creature that was minding their own business.

I have to say, Binky the polar bear is now my personal hero.
Natural selection was thwarted yet again. They should really just let nature take its course.

Little story about Binky. Binky resided at the Alaska Zoo in Anchorage. I lived in Anchorage when this happened and all of the locals just rolled our eyes and wanted to know if Binky was ok.
The woman was an Australian tourist who climbed over 2 fences to get a picture with him. He didn't do any major damage but she did lose a shoe which Binky carried around like a prize for weeks. A little while after you could find t-shirts with pictures of Binky and his shoe. He was our hero. :p

Yeah Bears!
It's like the asshats who were screwing around with the tiger at the zoo in California. The tiger leapt the moat and tried to eat the SOBs. They shot and killed the Tiger, and the jerks sued the zoo.

You know this is exactly why when the accident happened to Ziegfried and Roy, I thought everyone who argued the Tiger should be put down was an idiot. The man Knew the dagers of raising tigers, and still Chose to do it. While I don't agree with wild animals as pets- at a Zoo? Come on now- how many fences and signs do they really have to post?
These people who think they can just be near nature, have no respect or understanding of the world we live in.
